Course Curriculum

- Unit II: Divorce and Maintenance: Understand the mechanisms for marital dissolution and the statutory battle for financial security. Topics include different modes of Talaq, judicial divorce under the 1939 Act, post-divorce consequences like Iddat, and the reconciliation of maintenance statutes (Sec 125 CrPC vs. 1986 Act).
- Unit III: Parentage, Guardianship, Gifts, and Wills: Analyze the structure of the family unit and the rules governing voluntary property transfers. This module breaks down Maternity and Paternity rules, Acknowledgment (Iqrar), Guardianship and Custody (Hizanat), pure Gifts (Hiba), and Testamentary Wills (Wasiyat).
- Unit IV: Waqf and Succession: Delve into the permanent dedication of property to the Almighty and the rigid mathematical distribution of an estate. Learn about the creation of Waqfs, the Waqf Administration Act 1995, the duties of a Mutawalli, and the 4-step estate administration process.
